Internships

Hard to believe summer is really over. our current interns are starting to pack bags and get ready to go home! If you are interested in our program for next year check this out! :

J & L Green Farm is taking applications for intern positions in the 2012 season.  We are looking for motivated self-starters, eager to learn and not afraid of a hard day’s work. Positions are open to both men and women. We have opening for two types of internships.
      
      1.    Full season internships. Internship runs from march 1st through November 1st. we allow a one week variance on the start/finish date. Benefits of this internship are an experience of 3 of the 4 seasons on the farm and the different aspects of production unique to each season. Room and board provided and a monthly salary starting at $250 per month and sliding to $500 per month with progression of experience and responsibilities.
 
     2.    Summer season internships. Internship runs from May 15th through August 15th. We allow no variance on these dates. You need to commit to being here by the start day and staying through the end.  Benefits of this internship are a tailored schedule for college students or those seeking a summer experience. Room and board provided and a monthly stipend of $199. It will cost you approximately $300 additional per month for personal expenses so plan accordingly.

          We are a Polyface style farm and produce grass-fed beef & lamb, pastured broilers & turkeys, pastured chicken & duck eggs and forest raised hogs. An internship provides unique opportunity to be a part of our team in all aspects of production, farm management and marketing. As much as you will commit to learn we will teach.
