Sausage Potato Cheese Balls

Here is a great recipe you can try with our ground sausage. I mixed half mild and half hot together. It was delicous!

SAUSAGE POTATO CHEESE BALLS
From COOKS.COM

2 1/2 cups of Bisquick mix (below is a recipe I substituted for the bisquick mix)
2 cups of grated sharp cheddar cheese
1 lb of favorite sausage
4 heaping tablespoons sour cream
1 cup fresh hash browns (I also used one raw potato shredded in place of hash browns)
(if you use frozen hash browns thaw and remove excess water)

Mix all ingredients together and roll in balls and bake on parchment paper at 375°f for 30 minutes or until golden brown. Very moist never dry---yummy and different!

Substitue recipe for bisquik mix:
2 T baking powder
1 T sugar
2 1/4 cups flour
1/4 cup, 1 T olive oil
Makes 3 cups. Sift together powder and sugar into flour. Sift together twice into large mixing bowl. Slowly add oil, cutting in with pastry blender, until mix is consistency of corn meal. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature or may be refrigerated.
